2. I do agree with the message. I agree with the message because you can't make everyone believe in what you believe. It's either they do believe in what you believe or they don't and they believe what they want or do.

1. The video is about how the parents don't want change in their life so their trying to make the son believe he doesn't need change in his life either. The parents don't want the son changing his beliefs.

I think you got the message right and I agree with your thoughts about it. Obviously if you have some kind of belief that hurts yourself or others, than maybe it's o.k. for parents to step in. But if it's a peaceful belief, why not let people believe what they want?
Then again, what if you had a kid who stopped coming to christmas or thanksgiving because he or she didn't "believe" in it? How do you explain this to grandma and grandpa who are waiting to see their grandkid?
